FLATTEXT for MySQL provides an admin interface that allows you to build, modify,
and test MySQL tables. It also allows you to connect back to this site, so
you can create a custom Perl script that allows you or your visitors to search,
edit, or delete in your MySQL table. It is designed specifically for
people working on virtual hosting accounts, although it also supports a robust
set of tools for root users on dedicated servers.

Technical Limitations in Version 1.0 Beta:
- This product does not produce scripts capable of querying or modifying
multiple tables at once. By default, it only lets you work with one
table at a time. Version 2.0 will be fully relational.
- The quick tools of the admin interface will not allow you to change the
properties on columns with complex properties. You will be able to do
this through the Type an SQL Statement option on the main menu in the
admin interface.
- All FLATTEXT for MySQL programs use the Perl DBI module, which your server
needs to be running, along with the mysql DBD (for a list of commercial
hosts that we know about that support MySQL via DBI, see here).
Not sure if your server is compatible, try installing and running the admin
tool. If the admin tool works, then your custom scripts will as
well. We can also host your script for you on one of our dedicated
servers.
This site is in no way affiliated with MySQL AB the creators and owners of MySQL.
This site designs tools that allow you to communicate quickly and easily with
your MySQL server via the DBI Perl module. You cannot download or find
information about how to install MySQL itself on this site.
